JUNE IS FOR...

There is just something about the sixth month. Glorified in poetry and song, responsible for countless weddings and of course graduations and here we are, another Father's Day.

The nation’s first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in the state of Washington. However, it was not until 1972—58 years after President Woodrow Wilson made Mother’s Day official—that the day honoring fathers became a nationwide holiday in the United States. So, for all of our members who also happen to be fathers, we send warm greetings and congratulations - and for writers...well, another subject rich in possibilities. Have a lovely day!
