What's it all about?

This is the rhyming story of how Aunt Sally - as a birthday treat - was taken to the city zoo hidden inside a picnic hamper, and what happened when she escaped and climbed a tree. Rhyme has always been important to young children, and without it they could be missing out on an important part of their education.

Excerpt

"
On the very day Aunt Sally turned one,
Matilda-Jane thought it would be such fun
To take her to visit the local zoo.
“I wish Pamela Ann could come with us too!”

“Mother, can we have a picnic please?”
“No!” said mother, just to tease.
“’course, you can, Matilda-Jane, honey.”
So the girls plotted, and counted their money.

Mother packed Daddy’s picnic hamper.
Those girls she really loved to pamper.
“Get inside, you lucky cat,
What a good job you’re not too fat.”
